Singles Ladder
Singles Ladder is held every Sunday from 4 – 6pm.
During the Singles Ladder session, you will have the opportunity to play approximately six to seven singles games against players of similar level in a round robin format. It is a great way to meet and challenge other players in a competitive format!
To register for the Singles Ladder, visit the ladder registration page.
Select the Singles Ladder, log in to your account, select the date you want to register for, and then click the “Register” button.
Singles Ladder registration will randomly open on Monday between 7am and 3pm for the following weekend’s ladder. Registration closes at 9am the day before (Saturday) the ladder. The ladder is held every week except holidays or unless otherwise noted.
Cancellation deadline is now 8am Sunday, the day of the ladder.
Members who are on the waitlist will be notified by 9am Sunday (day of the ladder) at the latest if they are placed on the ladder roster. Waitlist players should request to remove themselves if they are unable to wait until 9am. Waitlist members who are placed on the roster and cancel out after 10am will be considered a NO SHOW.
The maximum capacity for the Singles Ladder is 28 players for each session. Please register early each week to reserve your spot! SBC cannot guarantee participation in the ladder to players who registered late or showed up without registration.
Ladder Rules and Policies
Players are placed into brackets A, B, C and D depending on their average score from the last four sessions they have participated in. Players who are new to the ladder will get an initial score based on their own perceived level combined with the organizer’s evaluation.
Ladder participation is free, but all players are expected to come prepared to each session with at least one new shuttlecock to contribute.
If for any reason you are unable to make the ladder session, please unregister yourself as soon as possible on the ladder registration page to open the spot for others. If the ladder registration session is closed and locked – you would need to notify SBC by sending an email to ladder@seattlebadminton.com.
A no-show penalty will be applied to players who are absent without unregistering or notifying SBC before the Cancellation Deadline. A no-show penalty of 5 points will be applied to the player’s final score for four weeks and the player will not be eligible to participate the following week. In the event of repeated no-shows, the player will be temporarily banned from participating in the Singles Ladder.
Please commit to staying the whole duration and playing the entirety of the session’s matches. Players who do not complete all of their scheduled games without prior approval are considered a no-show.
As a courtesy, we ask that all ladder participants arrive no earlier than 15 minutes prior. This will allow for additional court time for other members who are not participating in the ladder.
