Class Advancements
Students are eligible for advancement to the next level of class at the sole discretion of the coaches. Throughout the session, our coaches closely monitor the class to see if any students have shown proficient improvement and exemplary student attitude to move up to the next level. To advance, students are expected to be able to fulfill all of the class’s criteria listed in the Junior Classes Advancement Rubric.
In the last few weeks of a session, the coaches will determine if any students are ready to move up to the next class. The student or their parents will be contacted if they are advanced. In most cases, an assessment is not required for students unless they are new.
For any inquiries about a student’s advancement, please email coach@seattlebadminton.com.
Make-Up Class Policy
To attend a make-up class for a missed class, parents or students must send an email to coach@seattlebadminton.com at least 24 hours in advance to notify SBC of the absence. Emergency exceptions may be allowed at the discretion of SBC. Please include in the email the date of the upcoming absence and the date of the make-up class you’d like to attend.
Each inquiry has to be approved by SBC prior to attending the make-up class. This make-up policy applies to all junior classes.
Make-up classes are subject to availability based on capacity. Make-up classes must be completed in the same session and do not carry over to the next session.
No refund or class credit will be issued for missed classes without notice.
We kindly ask parents and students to please notify SBC as early as possible if the student will not be in attendance for a particular class. This allows us ample time to contact other students on the waitlist for the available class space.
In the event of a class canceled by SBC, we will arrange a make-up class in the same session.
Session Cancellation Policy
Full refund if canceled fourteen (14) days before the start of the session.
No refund after the session has begun.
An administration fee of $40 will be applied to all cancellations.
