How to Play

How to Play at SBC

The two main ways to play at SBC are as a member or as a drop-in player:

  • Members have the best access to the SBC courts! Members can play during all hours that the gym is open, for as many hours and days as they like. For details on membership plans and how to join, please visit our Membership page.
  • Drop-in players pay a one-day drop-in fee and can only play during specified drop-in hours. For details on drop-in play and rates, please visit our Drop-In Play page.

Weekly Court Schedule

Court availability varies from day to day. SBC operates on a court rotation system and does not accept court reservations.  This schedule is the most current, up-to-date source for court hours:

Court Rotation Rules

SBC operates on a court rotation system. A staff member will usually be present to run the rotation board. If there is no staff running the rotation board, all players are responsible for setting their membership or drop-in cards on the board and following the rules.

  • Court rotations are in 20-minute intervals.
  • To wait for a court, players put their cards up together in the rotation queue.
  • Up to four players can be in a group to wait for a court.
  • When your court time is up, please leave the court promptly for the next group.
  • As a reminder, please be respectful and considerate towards fellow players at SBC when using the rotation board.
  • Do not remove cards that are not your own or add yourself to a new group without letting the others in the group know.
  • All players agree to follow rules set out by SBC staff.

Gym Reminders

  • If you are a member, please scan your SBC membership card at the kiosk by the front desk upon entering the gym.
  • If you are a non-member coming for drop-in, please check in to the front desk to get your drop-in card.
  • No eating in the gym. Please eat any food in the lobby.
  • NO BLACK SOLE SHOES ON THE COURTS. NO EXCEPTIONS. Please bring a pair of indoor court shoes to play or purchase a rental pair for the day. If a player is found to be marking the courts with their shoes, they will be fined.
