Fixed-Partner Ladder

Fixed-Partner Ladder is held every Tuesday from 8 – 11pm.

During each session, you will play with a fixed doubles partner against other pairs. You can play with different partners in different sessions. If you don’t have a partner, you can also request a partner and we will try our best to pair you up with another player. It’s a great way to meet and challenge other players in a competitive format!

To register for the Fixed-Partner Ladder, visit the ladder registration page.

Each pair only needs to register once. Be sure to your partner’s agreement before registering as a pair. For those wanting to request a partner, you can register without selecting a partner. SBC will try to pair you with other similar-level players, but there are no guarantees.

Fixed-Partner Ladder registration will open at 2:00pm on Wednesday for the following week’s ladder. Registration closes at 5:00pm on the day of ladder. The ladder is held every week unless otherwise noted (ex. holidays)

The maximum capacity for the Fixed-Partner Ladder is 35 pairs for each session. Please register early each week to reserve your spot! SBC cannot guarantee participation in the ladder to players who registered late or showed up without registration.

Ladder Rules and Policies

Pairs are placed into brackets A, B, C and D depending on their combined average scores from the last four sessions they have participated in. Players who are new to the ladder will get an initial score based on their own perceived level combined with the organizer’s evaluation. For full details on the scoring system and structure of the Fixed-Partner Ladder, you can see the detailed breakdown in this document.

Ladder participation is free, but all players are expected to come prepared to each session with at least one new shuttlecock to contribute.

If for any reason you or your partner are unable to make the ladder session, please unregister yourself as soon as possible on the ladder registration page to open the spot for others. If the ladder registration session has closed and locked, please still inform SBC by sending an email to ladder@seattlebadminton.com. Notification must be received four hours before the ladder event start time.

A no-show penalty will be applied to players who are absent without unregistering or notifying SBC. A no-show penalty of 5 points will be applied to the player’s final score for four weeks. In the event of repeated no-shows, the player might be temporarily banned from participating in the Fixed-Partner Ladder

Please commit to staying the whole duration and playing the entirety of the session’s matches. Players who do not complete all of their scheduled games without prior approval are considered a no-show.
